The Campaign for Wine

Give to WSU Viticulture and Enology

Ted BaselerWashington and the Northwest must support the unparalleled growth its wine industry is experiencing, increase competitiveness for growers and vintners, seize the economic development and tourism opportunities it offers, and continue to establish itself among the most internationally-celebrated wine regions in the world.”

– Ted Baseler, Chair, The Campaign for Wine

Wine Changes Everything – wine is a catalyst for commerce, driving new business development, creating jobs, and opening export opportunities. The wine industry in the Pacific Northwest has exploded, drawing winemakers from home and around the globe to craft premium wines that reflect the unique characteristics of the region’s climate and soils.

The wine industry needs the right space in the right place to help them remain environmentally sustainable and economically successful. Washington State University will build a research and teaching facility, located in the heart of wine country on the WSU Tri-Cities campus in Richland, equal to those at other top research universities world-wide. It will be a gathering place to spark innovation, fuel economic development, support local, regional, national and international collaboration, and provide a catalyst for research breakthroughs.
